Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Schedule and supervise daily, weekly and monthly production flow, finishing and shipping to accomplish the plant objectives of safety, profitability, cost and productivity along with facilitating on-time shipments.
  • Provide real-time inventory levels for all products.
  • Address and correct issues that arise during the order confirmation process and verify that the overall inventory levels are correct.
  • Coordinate the development of new production schedules and communicate that scheduling information to both internal departments and sales.
  • Ability to facilitate adjustments to production schedules to accommodate changes to customer orders and/or changes in production capacity.
  • Work with Production Manager to ensure adequate production capacity and company resources to fulfill production orders.
  • Assist with monthly inventories.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations for variance management.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations on strategy execution and scheduling.
  • Responsible for planned order confirmation and reconciliation.
  • Call orders ready in system so they can be scheduled to ship.
  • Monitor downgrade production daily and adjust production schedule to cover shortfalls and to prevent/minimize overrun of product.
  • Conduct and perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain and utilize the margin model to drive business decisions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Business, Production, Logistics or related field.
  • Must be proficient with a PC and skilled in E1, Excel, and Word; Access and PowerPoint a plus.
  • 5 or more years of manufacturing experience required; experience related to production planning, scheduling of materials or any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  • Knowledge of product line manufacturing process.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to apply basic math skills to calculate production requirements.
  • Ability to identify process disconnects and offer solutions; a calm, sensible problem solver.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with sales, manufacturing, purchasing, and shipping to ensure customer order fulfillment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate with Value-Added department to ensure raw materials needed.
  • Mixes analytical skills with creativity to produce results.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
