Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides day to day contact and communications with employees; provide basic information and resources involving benefits, policies, procedures and practices
  • Assisting customers/visitors by telephone and/or in person
  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees at the plant level
  • Vacation relief for payroll clerk and plant statisticians
  • Review and maintain several spreadsheets and databases to ensure accurate and complete information
  • Preparation of correspondence, reports (internal and external) and other related documents
  • Maintain and organize plant HR files
  • Administration of plant HR tasks as directed by plant HR Manager
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Facilitate specimen collections for substance abuse program

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent keyboard skills and 10-key by touch, ability to work with a great deal of speed and accuracy
  • Work and Excel experience required; JD Edwards and Kronos experience preferred
  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, meet deadlines, be accurate, work under pressure and perform multi-tasks with frequent interruptions
  • Must possess excellent phone and communication skills
  • Ability to work with all people
  • Honesty, integrity and efficiency are required attributes for this position
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be able to prioritize work in a changing environment and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
