Roseburg is a wood products company based in southwestern Oregon, USA. For 75 years, we have been a privately-owned manufacturer and marketer of wood products. Our products include engineered wood, lumber, softwood plywood, composite and hardwood panels, decorative laminate and other value-added panel products. With lands and facilities in the Northwest and Southeast, we market product to customers throughout North America. We are currently seeking a Safety and Health Professional to support our veneer manufactruing facility located in Weed Califonia.
Responsibilities: Provide technical support and assistance to the site manager and management team; evaluate site safety and health programs to identify areas that require attention; maintain the site's safety & health recordkeeping; develop the H&S training matrix for the location that identifies required training by job classification and tracks compliance; ensure that the site Safety Committee remains active and is effective; conduct weekly safety inspections of the site physical facilities; maintain a current cumulative corrective action log for the site; work with site supervision to ensure that corrective actions are completed and logged; assist incident investigation teams and ensure that incident reports are thorough, complete, and root causes corrective actions and lessons learned have been determined; provide monthly safety program summary report to Corporate Safety Director; assist Corporate Safety Director in assessment and development of safety training programs; ensure compliance with state, federal and internal requirements and best practices. 
Job Requirements: A minimum of 3-5 years of safety and health experience preferably in the wood products industry; bachelor's degree required in occupational safety and health or closely related field; professional certification by BCSP/ABIH or joint accreditations; experience and thorough working knowledge of all applicable local, state, and federal safety and health regulations; experience monitoring, analyzing, and making recommendations relative to compliance with safety governmental laws and regulations; experience in use and function of tools, and equipment applicable to the position including health and safety monitoring systems, computers and applicable software, ie. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
