Essential Responsibilities:

  • Supervises activities of resource accounting group
  • Ensures all deadlines are met
  • Oversee external customer service efforts relating to both suppliers and customers
  • Support and actively participate in continuous improvement processes within the resources accounting department
  • Provide support to resources controller with account reconciliation, problem resolution and analysis
  • Develop data collection systems based on the changing needs of the business
  • Administer the LIMS database
  • Work with other LIMS users to enhance current LIMS reporting and develop new reporting as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in accounting or finance
  • Two (2) years' plus supervisory experience
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Three to five years' experience in an accounting environment, preferably dealing with large volumes of transactions
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, theory and practice
  • Ability to coach and lead a diverse workforce
  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate or advanced expertise with Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work in and maintain a highly functional team environment
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn new systems and train others
  • Self-starter with a high degree of individual initiative
  • Working knowledge of resource industry
