Essential Responsibilities:

  • Strategic and Tactical Planning
    • Analysis and modeling of long range strategic plans and short term operating plans that include the optimization of raw materials, inventories, finished good sales, and production planning.
    • Develop and utilize processes, systems, and tools to perform sensitivity analysis on a range of scenarios with associated constraints to recommend optimal decisions.
    • Develop concise input information for capital and sales & operating planning.
    • Coordinate quarterly sales and pricing forecast updates.
    • Coordinate annual planning process to develop sales, shipment and inventory plans.
  • Sales & Pricing Analysis
  • Analyze pricing data and identify opportunities for pricing improvement.
  • Provide input for product portfolio management.
  • Provide analysis for customer segmentation process.
  • Complete win/loss analysis.
  • Business Process Improvement
  • Evaluation and optimization of business processes to reduce product supply costs, including transportation, and transfers.
  • Develop and manage processes to improve business operations, including Sales & Operations Planning, Inventory Management and Pricing Models.
  • Support Supply Chain optimization work, including leadership of process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering or related field
  • Minimum of two years' experience performing financial or data analysis with completion of an advanced degree in business or finance.
  • Experience in business with a manufacturing component
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in MS Office suite with demonstrated ability to create macros to automate routine reports in Excel
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools and demonstrated ability to program tools
  • Proven project management skills leading multiple, complex projects
  • Experience supporting several functional organizations; knowledge and understanding of key metrics driving a sales environment
  • Understanding of the people, processes, technology issues within an enterprise level corporation and how business process impacts reporting
  • Positive demeanor and the ability to lead and/or function within a team and work well with others at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to multi-task in a changing, fast-paced environment
  • Understand and exhibit a sense of urgency
  • Strong self-motivation and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's in Business or Finance
  • Experience in the forest products industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing financial or data analysis
