Job Description:
QC interns will assist in various data collection projects. Students will be responsible for gathering and entering of data in relation to fiber gathering & entering of data in relation to fiber characterization, Melamine hot/cold stacking curing, time studies at press, sanding & saw machine centers.
Duties:
Measure press recovery times and press cycles to develop optimal run rates, analyze data & complete findings report. Train on 5S and work on project that involves multiple locations (fire extinguishers). Collect & test fiber samples, analyze data & complete findings report. Collect data on hot stacked cured & stickered Melamine panels, analyze data & complete findings report. Measure selected machine center process & recovery times, analyze data & complete findings report. 
Contribute to a safe work environment in all activities.
Assist on other projects as need arises.

Qualifications:
Renewable Materials or related major preferred.
Focused on safety/good organizational/communication skills.
Ability to work on feet most of the day, while maintaining accurate measurements and data collection.
Punctual and reliable. Flexibility/Ability to perform shift work.
Previous mill experience preferred but not required. Willingness to learn on the job.

Dates of employment:
June 4, 2018 through July 31, 2018 (dates can be flexible to accommodate school schedules).

Missoula, Montana

Wage:
This is an hourly position with a wage commensurate with experience. This is a temporary position and does not qualify for benefits.
