Essential Responsibilities:

  • Identify and categorize all key process variables (KPV)
  • Establish sampling techniques and statistical process control (SPC) charts for each KPV
  • Establish tools for plant personnel to monitor control charts and administer rules for changing processes
  • Apply statistical tools to sampling, data collection and analysis
  • Work with plant personnel in understanding the impact of changes to each KPV and how to control and reduce the variability that is identified
  • Perform design of experiments (DOE) and analyze associated trials conducted on processes to determine ways to reduce variation and cost
  • Provide leadership in getting process changes (new equipment, new processes and projects) implemented and up to performance expectations
  • Work with the engineering department on project scope and be a key resource in process project specifications
  • Work closely with the Technical Manager at the plant on projects and processes
  • Work with plant programmers involving PLC programs to improve process performance and reduce variation in KPV
  • Work closely with plant personnel on KPV data capture and reporting

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in industrial engineering or related field
  • Experience is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills
  • Strong teaching, coaching, facilitation and mentoring skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build trust in relationships at all levels of the company
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel, particularly proficient in spreadsheet development and use
  • Understand statistical analysis and proper sampling techniques
  • Excellent problem solving and investigation skills with a focus on root cause analysis and development of sustainable corrective actions
  • Demonstrates the core values of the company and conducts activities in a safe and professional manger
  • Demonstrates an understanding of business goals and the importance of how the job supports these goals
  • Ability to analyze and present data and interpret in to actionable information
  • Must be able to work over-time and on various shifts as needed to complete projects.
  • Training or certifications in continuous improvement is a plus.
