Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain a multi-state sales territory requiring frequent travel and overnight stays on a regular basis
  • Work directly with Dealers, Wholesale Distributors, Architects, Engineers, Building Designers, Developers / Builders, Contractors, Code Officials and Field Sales Associates to educate, train and support the sales, marketing and use of Roseburg Engineered Wood Products
  • Establish specific sales programs with in-market accounts for our products in a manner directed by the company, our core values and the Director, Engineered Wood Products
  • Develop effective, large scale, self-sufficient and technically competent Wholesales Distributors and Pro-Yard Dealers for the RFP
  • Orchestrate and deliver the company response to complaints and claims proactively while communicating status to the necessary parties within and outside the company
  • Clearly communicate the needs of the customer to all internal Roseburg stakeholders
  • Coordinate and manage the sales effort with-in the territory to meet established sales volumes and financial returns to the company
  • Maintain sufficient market intelligence and competitor knowledge to successfully respond to market conditions and forecast developing trends
  • Create and maintain a positive working relationship between manufacturing, customer service, transportation, accounts receivable and core management for the smooth operation of the company
  • Work Trade Shows, Technical Seminars and other local / national events to promote Roseburg Forest Products
  • Prospect for and maintain accounts for long term strategic partnerships that focus on our values, our products and programs to meet our customer's needs and expectations while managing costs and increasing market share in a profitable way

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5 Years minimum of technical sales and/or building products experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; oral and written both internal and public speaking
  • Self-Starter capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to an ever changing, fast paced market

  • Have a proven record of past sales and territory management success
  • Strong selling and communication skills including probative analysis, negotiating and closing techniques
  • Valid Driver License with a proven safe driving record
  • Goal oriented "Driven to Win" personality able to work from a home office with-in a defined territory
